I’m super excited to be taking part in the blog tour for Chris Macdonald’s new book, Dead in the Water! I’d just like to quickly thank the author and the lovely team over at Red Dog Press for organising and inviting me to take part in this event.

My Rating: ★★★
Adam and Colin are two best friends who also happen to be amateur sleuths, taking it upon themselves to solve another murder in this second instalment of Chris Macdonald’s Stonebridge Mysteries series.
The story starts when the captain of the local rowing team is found washed up on the river bank. After his death, his wife asks Adam and Colin to solve the mystery behind his murder.
This short story is great for mystery lovers with a bit of time on their hands. This book only took me an hour to read, but it was an hour well spent! The characters of Adam and Colin had a really nice dynamic between them, best friends who enjoy solving local mysteries. There is a slight comedy element between the pair which really makes it a unique story.
The story itself is a classic murder mystery that left me guessing until the last page! I really didn’t see the ending coming but it made perfect sense, with little clues being thrown around from the start. I haven’t read the first Stonebridge story but I will definitely be downloading that to my kindle and will keep an eye out for any other instalments in the series.
